my DH has said he wants to be there when I take a hpt. Not actually IN the bathroom with me  but he wants to be there when I read the result. Otherwise I would have probably found a cute way to telling him.

I bought our dog a shirt to wear! It says Only Child and it's crossed out in a blue crayon print and then scribbled under it is Bir Brother! haha!! He is our son so it's perfect!

I have no idea. Depends on where DH is that day and how long I can hold it in if he is away... very likely it will end up being over the phone.

for my first BFP in March I screamed and ran downstairs to show him the test -- he didn't believe me since it was on the lighter side -- so the next morning I took a digital and it said Pregnant
For my second BFP in September (it was 2 weeks after his birthday) so I said I forgot to give you this gift -- in a victoria secrets box I had a onesie that said " my daddy Rocks" and Mommy's rockstar" and the pregnancy test
I hope that our 3rd BFP is the sticky one and have no idea how I will tell him when we get pregnant again

Ideally, I would like DH to be there when I take the test so we get the news together....because I haven't ever taken a HPT! I hope the first time I take one, I get a BFP!
Btw - the dog tee shirt is sooooo cute!

DH wants to read the test with me. What we've done (with BFNs) is I pee on the stick, and then cover it with my finger and take it downstairs, where we cover it with a piece of paper. We set up our camera with the timer and have it go off when the test is done....and, hopefully, capture our faces of excitement!!!

These are all really great ideas ladies!
I was actually thinking about getting a package of pillsbury cinnamon buns and putting them in the oven and calling DH in and saying "Look what we have cooking!"...although knowing my DH, he'll be like oh cool and go sit back on the couch
ETA: That's IF I can take the test on the sly

My dh is a magician (on the side) and I saw this at ikea and thought, how cute if I got that and stuck the POAS on the hat.
I should probably go get it before they stop selling it

OR, our last name is synonymous with a particular brand of fishsticks and I could get a box and stick it in that and say, guess what I'm cooking" like another poster said (thanks for the idea btw)

Im just gonna tell him point blank.... month i got my bfp i was in the bathroom and was like 'hey can u tell me what u think of this?' And he came in and i handed him the test. He was he said he thought i was gonna show him a new shirt or something lol
we told our fams in a cutsie way too but now i think when it happens im just going to blurt it out and that's that.

He will be home when I take the test and I'd tell him right away. While I will definitely be excited when it happens, I feel I won't feel like it's "real" until I hear the heartbeat. I got pregnant in October but we never heard the heartbeat and I had a D&C in Dec.

The same way I told him with DD...........walk out of bathroom with a look of shock on my face!!!
There are no cute surprises with us because with both DD and now TTC #2 we're going through IF treatments so he's well aware of everything that is going on and when I'm testing.

We will be going through IF treatments as well, so there wont be that element of surprise for him. We plan on recording our families reactions through. Maybe buy a "grandma/grandpa" bib or something.
