For those with EDD Past Mother's Day...
... are you 'celebrating' Mother's Day as a mom?
I asked DH, and he believes that I won't be a mother yet, until the baby is born... and his mom agrees with him. I think that I am TOO a mommy, because our child is alive & kicking as we speak... am I wrong?

I don't see them carry this belly around.
I am not sure what we are doing, but my DH always gets me a mommy to be card. So that is all I am expecting.

I'm not celebrating as a mom - I don't hink I am until the baby comes - I guess I'm a little superstitious that way.

I dont think so....
My mom made a big deal outta mothers day for me- however my DH kinda felt along the same lines as yours...
I got nothing from my MIL, not a card, she didnt even say happy Mothers day.... However DH on the other did still get me some flowers...

You are definately already a mom. Sometimes I think the DHs don't get it that everything has already changed for us. DH said to me the other night, "We have to go out and do lots of stuff before the baby comes and starts affecting our lives." I just looked at him and laughed and said, "Starts affecting our lives??" They don't understand b/c their bodies/emotions, etc. haven't completely changed the way ours have.

We're hosting Mother's Day at our house like we did last year, so I'm not sure if anyone is planning on acknowledging me as a mother. I did tell DH that I would really like a GC to get a prenatal massage.

Of course you're a mommy! At a minimum, I would think they would want to acknowledge you as a mommy to be.
