For those whose DD's who got enough hair for clips on the later side....
I think my DD may "almost" be ready finally to stick a clip in her hair without it looking ridiculous
She is very curly...
For those of you whose DD's didn't get enough hair for a clip intil they were toddler age, did your DD give you a hard time putting them in ?
I think she will probably leave them in once I get it in there, but getting her to let me fuss with her may be a challenge !
Tips ?? I haven't ventured to try yet

DD is 2.5 and she's hit or miss, some days she LOVES them and will actually tell me to put her hair back and other days she looks like a crazy cave girl b/c she refuses to put them in. Good luck!!

Re: For those whose DD's who got enough hair for clips on the later side....
I was just as anxious as you were for my DD's hair to grow in long enough to put clips in - then when it finally did, I put the clips on, proudly admired my selection of adorable clips in those tiny ringlets, and watcher her rip them out and put them in her mouth!! SO, from then on I have stayed clip-less! I use those non-metal hair bands and headbands instead. I do miss the look of a cute and frilly clip, but I'd rather use the alternatives than take a trip to the ER! So, if you decide to use the clips, just keep track of them!

Re: For those whose DD's who got enough hair for clips on the later side....
DD is 2.5 its just long enough now for a pony tail but that falls out still sometimes...i do it half up most of the time...clips just fall out still, her hair is too thin. she gave me a hard time in the beg. about putting it half up everyday, but she figured out quick she has no choice...her hair is curly too so bangs are not an option and thats all i really want out of her face. i use those rubbery elastics that you can pretty much only use one time...they stay in the best.

Just in the last few months DD has let me put stuff in her hair. She was almost 2 by the time she had enough hair to really put clips & stuff in. Now that the weather is so hot - her hair is up in some way, shape or form mnost of the time. She's almost 3 and goes to a day camp and plays outside a lot - so it's a must to keep the hair off her neck and face.

Stace, as you know G had no hair until about 18 months or later. When i finally could get clips in, they lasted about 2 minutes. It's only now she's letting me put anything in her hair.

Yes. I can't do anything with her hair. It is a struggle and then she just pulls everything out. Its not worth it.

same here. If I put pony's in they rip them out qs soon as they get in the car. They don't like how it feels pressing against the car seat I guess. they were used to nothing in their hair for a looong time so now that they have haior they want nothing in it.

DD leaves them in for most of the time but does pull them out once a day or so. It's so annoying. My DD is used to handing them to me by now...when I see her pull them out I say "Give me that clip" and she hands it to me. Even when driving in the car, stopped at a light I reach my hand back and she hands it over.
