For the ladies using Lovenox injections....
how hard is it giving yourself the injections?
My high risk doctor has decided to switch me from Metanx to Lovenox. I am really nervous about taking it. I have to meet with the nurse on Thursday for my injection course.

The injections aren't too bad. My DH pinched my skin and than I would do the injection. I only bruised with maybe 2 of the shots, not too bad.
One question though....Metanx-isn't that a form of folic acid? They switched me from extra folic acid to metanx but I still took Lovenox.

I found the Lovenox injections to be pretty easy and had no problem doing the injections myself. But then again - I got used to giving myself injections b/c we did IVF. But honestly dont be afraid of it b/c the needle is very small and you barely feel it. If you have any ??'s or need help shoot me an FM. Good luck

It's for blood thinning as well. I take baby aspirin along with it.

Okay, just wanted to check! I was taking baby aspirin also. They just switched me over to heparin shots and took me off the baby aspirin since I am near the end.
