for NIAW What I've learned
What I've learned through my infertility journey...
1. Infertility IS a disease, affecting 1 in 8 couples in the U.S
2. That we women warriors fighting infertility deserve a family just as much as women who get pregnant naturally
3. That everything DOES happen for a reason
4. That I will never give up. The harder the path, the stronger my will
5. That I'm not scared of IVF, testing, daily injections, D&Cs, or of failing because I have already failed and picked myself up
6. That my relationships in my life have changed and that's ok
7. That there will always be nay-sayers and pessimists
8. That emotionally, mentally and physically I can handle one of the most unfair and unfortunate situations any woman can imagine
9. That I have a wonderful safety net surrounding me, my IF friends, who have provided me with so much support, compassion and understanding
10. That I'm proud of my scars, inside and outside. They are proof that I have earned my strength
