What song that you love makes you think of DC? Like that your DC would play at his or her wedding someday as "your song" together...

For example..when i was little, my dad and i always sang "A Well Respected Man" by the Kinks, so at my wedding, we had a dance to that...

I can't think of mine that far down the road for DS, but because I am leaving him with someone for the 1st time ever on Monday when I go back to work..I've been listening to "Babe" by Styx, and getting emotional...

Honestly I still can't make it thru that without weeeeepies setting in. I cook all the time with my iPod on shuffle and if it comes on lets just say dinner is extra salty

Just listened to this on You Tube, and it hit me in so many more ways..my mom passed away 6 years ago, and I just had a ds 3 months ago...what a beautiful song..thank you for sharing

"I'm Yours" by Jason Mraz - especially for DD. I would play this when they were newborns and it would always calm her down and make her fall asleep. I learned all the words by playing it over and over and over again.

When DD was a newborn and she would not sleep at night, I would stand in front of my living room window with her as the sun came up crying my eyes out because I was so sleep deprived, singing this song to her.

Another one that I ALWAYS get teary eyed now when I hear is "Isn't She Lovely" Especially, this verse

Robbie and I will almost assuredly dance to Yellow. I've been singing it to him since he was a baby. Even now - as a great big galumph at almost 9 - he still will ask me to hold him and sing it when he's upset. So I pick him up and we dance and I sing and he rests his head on my shoulders. And I can just feel his sighs and upset leaving his body. Man I love that kid.

Noah.. I don't know if it would be the song he'd want to choose for a wedding dance.. but he's always been all about "What A Wonderful World". He loves when we read the book and when we sing the song. And he LOOOVES Louis Armstrong and does the best and most ridiculous impression of him EVER.

Though the name is fitting, the lyrics really aren't. But I always think of DD because this song was playing when I gave birth to her. I had my ipod playing on shuffle in the delivery room.
