Food Rules-This one sounds do-able!
There are just three rules and one exception:
•No Snacks •No Sweets •No Seconds
Except (sometimes) on days that start with "S"
S-days are Saturday, Sunday and Special Days (holidays, birthdays).
I think I want to add *No Soda
Anyway, this sounded simple and I thought I would pass it on.

Re: Food Rules-This one sounds do-able!
I could never do it!!!!! That's why I'm not thin... I have a total sweet tooth & I'd rather have snacks than eat a meal. And forget soda (diet anyway)... it's a must-have for me!
I need to work on this!!!

But... snacks are what keep you from eating seconds... and thirds... and piling your plate sky-high!

That's the one I would bend. I'm hypoglycemic so I have to snack. I think the issue is WHAT I snack on. Popcorn vs doritos, ice cream vs. yogurt.

Re: Food Rules-This one sounds do-able!
The only thing I do on that list is snack...on apples, carrots etc
It keeps me full and from wanting to get something bad
I only cheat on sunday
I am down 1 full size in 2.5 weeks
And I can get into the next size
I don't even crave sugar anymore - and I used to be out of control with cookies etc

I don't really consider it a diet
I think that's why it's working
I just started making better choices
I eat - but I watch the carbs- no sugar- like cookies :(
example- we made tacos the other night- but instead of me eating 3 tacos
I have mine over lettuce and made a taco salad
I eat a lot of fruit and veggies as snacks no soda, no fast food (which is hard b/c i am on the road most of the day)
and I drink tons of water
Plus work out 5 days a week

Except (sometimes) on days that start with "S"
S-days are Saturday, Sunday and Special Days (holidays, birthdays).
Just read an article about the "S-days"
THE MYTH: YOU CAN "MAKE UP" WEEKEND SPLURGES
THE TRUTH: The two S-days represent about 30 percent of the week, so too many slip-ups will put you on bad terms with the scale. Case in point: Dieters in a 2008 study dropped pounds during the week, but stopped losing weight on the weekend because they ate too much. "By feasting on whatever you want on the weekend, you'll cancel out five days' worth of healthy eating," says Felicia Stoler, R.D., nutrition coordinator for the New York City Marathon.
When it comes to shedding pounds, consistency is key. "Aim to consume a similar number of calories on Tuesday as you would Saturday," says Stoler. She suggests weighing yourself Friday and again Monday. "Any weight gain is a sign you shouldn't have eaten the extra slice of pizza." To prevent bad choices, see "Survive the Weekend" (below).

This is where moderation comes in. I don't think gorging oneself on sugar, sweets, junk and soda is the idea NOR ALL OF THEM on the weekends, but maybe sampling them.

Re: Food Rules-This one sounds do-able!
totally disagree with the no snacks...
Snacking keeps your sugar levels regulated and that is what keeps you from binging. Snack on healthy foods and you should be ok. I eat 7 times a day!

I agree about this part. I think there is some ambiguity here. For me personally, I can't do NO snacks. It's too long between meals and I just can't do it.
I think it's the KIND of snacks. A bag of chips vs. an apple. Milk and cookies vs. pretzels. I think for this part, it's about making a smart decision.
