Do you have food rules?

You know, those quirks about food that are weird, like food can't touch or things like that?

YEs-I cannot have ketchup touch ANYTHING, and i cannot have ketchup warm

Yes...

1) different foods can't touch - especially liquids. like gravy can't touch non-gravy food.
2) I used to eat one type of food at a time but now I can switch if I have a sip of my drink in between bites.
3) I rotate my plate so that the meat is closest to me.

Eta..

4) I can not force myself to eat foods I don't like.

My FH cannot have anything touch and eats IN ORDER!

My ruls is about people touching my food...they can't do it or I won't eat it.
I won't drink from the same cup as people either.

This may not be what you are looking for, but has anyone ever been to the Boardy Barn in Hampton Bays?

Well, if you have, you know about the $1 cups of beer. I could never drink them because someone would order a whole shitload of them and bring them back to us to drink, but to bring back a bunch they would have to put their fingers in it. Even when I was drunk I could never drink from those cups, I always bought myself can beer.

I MUST have breakfast food first, even if it's like lunchtime....I get SO sick.

Nothing with a creamy texture: dips, mayo, GROSS. exception to the rule, yogurt.

and I MUST have ice cream in the house at all times

Well, DH mixes any side dishes together when he cooks and that bugs me. I don't like my beans mixed w/ my veggies!!!

1. Breakfast food always first, even if it is lunch.

2. I love fish, but cannot clean it.

I can not touch mustard..not even the mustard jar. It skeeves me out.
When I was younger and friends would come over for dinner and we had hamburgers..they had to get the mustard out of the fridge themselves...and I would give them a plastic knife that would be thrown out becuase the thought of cleaning and later using a knife that had mustard grossed me out. They had to throw the knife out by themselves and then put the mustard away.

DH uses mustard and knows that I will not kiss him for hours after he eats it.
But I have gotten better a bit...I now take the mustard out of the fridge for DH...I just use a paper towel around it to pick it up!!

I can't eat anything that mushrooms touch. Won't eat anything in a mushroom sauce.

I don't have rules like nothing can touch anything else, but I do have a defrosting rule. everything I defrost HAS to be done in the fridge. it grosses me out to think a piece of meat or even worse, chicken was defrosted on at room temp.

I won't eat food that has been on someone elses plate. Not sure why...it just totally GROSSES me out.

Ok, here are mine:

Don't open the pot lid while I'm cooking.
Don't touch the food on my plate. That makes me ANGRY!
I don't like to share the food on my plate with anyone.

When I am in the kitchen cooking I hate when someone lift the pot lid and constantly want to taste. My response is please wait until dinner is ready to be served. DH does this all the time and it annoys me.

yes, i have a couple, i cant eat or look at anyone having a hotdog with ketchup on it, i literally gag! and if im having a hamburger and fries, i have to finish my burger before i will even eat one fry, i know im crazy.

I don't eat leftovers. I am a PITA when it comes to this. I will eat certain food leftover, but it depends on the restaurant and/or what it is. DH loves leftovers so I leave them for him.
