Food Reaction?
I got the green light to give my son solids from my ped. We started y'day. I let him try 3 babyspoons of homemade sweet potatoes mixed with my breastmilk. This morning he woke up with small red blotches on one side of his face. They weren't there as of bedtime last night (8pm). If this was a reaction do you think it would appear almost 24 hours later?
Thanks!

Re: Food Reaction?
Food reactions are pretty immediate. When DS was allergic to the foods he was trying, he had hives by the time we took him out of his highchair. Also, food reactions tend to go away pretty quickly with a dose of Benedryl.
Sounds like your son just slept on his face or something.

This. DD has a milk allergy and her reaction appears within two hours.

Re: Food Reaction?
My son is allergic to bananas. When I gave it to him he blew up like a balloon to the point of purple fingers that left marks on his finger nails. It did not happen with the first jar, but it did with the second jar.
