The daycare cooks Liam's meals but, I have to send a snack everyday. I always do a healthy snack and that's what is requested.

Sometimes, rarely I send a homemade thing in. A muffin, rice pudding, etc. It has never been a problem.

They have sent home a granola bar and asked me to check for nuts on the label..there was none and I informed them. I haven't sent it since then though because I just don't want to deal.

Then the other day I sent a cookie from a birthday made by KMAC. They sent it home. It could have nuts, they said. I told them it was homemade and that I have sent other homemade things in without a problem.. They just shrugged.

Liam's birthday is Friday. We are only allowed to bring cupcakes from ONE bakery that is nut free. No homemade. 18 cupcakes ..27$$ FOR TWO YEAR OLDS!!!!!

Then the icing on the cake, yesterday I sent in blueberries. I thought I emptied his bag all the way but, I guess I didn't because today I sent in cut up strawberries. When I got there the teacher says, "I saw you sent strawberries.. good"... I thought that was odd and told her they were on sale at Stop and SHop.. Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

Well today I get home and the blueberries are in the bottom of his bag??? What the???? Why can't he have them? I swear I think I sent them before?? What is the deal. I feel like I can't do anything right lately. I am having a HORRIBLE day and I am really sensitive so I didn't call the daycare today.

Would you let it go or would you ask?

For the record, I get the nut allergy thing.. but, it is just annoying that I had to spend that much on cupcakes. At some point I think that we need say, the kid needs to bring in his own treat to a party.. Or maybe offer several nut-free bakery options. The owner is local and so is the bakery.. I can't help but, think they must be friends...............
