Foam or innerspring mattress?
What kind of matress are you getting ordo you already have.
I know if you are getting an innerspring, it should have more than 150 springs, but what's the foam guideline?
Please share your matress type and brand with me.
TIA!

Re: Foam or innerspring mattress?
How dense should the foam be to ensure that it is firm enough? Or are all foam mattresses the same firmness?
I read that spring matresses last longer but are heavier...does anyone have a spring they can tell me about??

Hahah, not bad at all, you may have spring, I think they had that option, but it was more expensive.

Re: Foam or innerspring mattress?
I got a dual firmness (well, I didn't get it, but I will be!). Both sides are coil but the infant side has a layer of foam.

Re: Foam or innerspring mattress?
Get foam! They are so light - makes the sheets super easy to change. The spring mattresses are really heavy.

Nope, I went to another store just to see if that was the case, the place I bough DD's furniture and said money is no object and they still said do not do foam

Did they give a reason? Baby bargains recommends it. It is just as firm, if not firmer than a coil mattress.

Im still a little confused, but I've read on several websites that the foam do not last as long...so maybe that is why some places don't recommend them. I registered for a Simmons innerspring from BRU,and after doing my research, Im sticking with it. I did discover that the infant side has a layer of foam...and that you flip it to the coil side for toddlers.
I know firmness is important for infants...they recommend that coild mattresses have at least 150 coils...the one 1 I registered for had 231 coils, so I'm comfortable with it.

Re: Foam or innerspring mattress?
You want a firm mattress. Babies need firm mattresses. The more springs, the better.
Each of my children have 250+ springs.
