Flu Shot...
my company has someone come here every year and give us the flu shot...Do you think its worth it to get it? I have heard people getting sick after the shot so I don't know if I should sign up to get it..who gets one every year?

I do, b/c i work in the medical field and have to deal with sick people. I only got sick once from the flu shot.. The flu shot isnt a guarentee that you wont get b/c there are millions of strands of the flu and the vaccine is what they think will be the most active one.

I have never gotten a flu shot and never needed it. Especially with the shortage they had, I would rather someone who really needs it to get it.

I get one every year and have never gotten sick. You cannot get the flu from it since the virus is dead, though some people experience soreness or slight fever from the shot. There have only been one or two years with a severe shortage, and those times they generally make people prove they are old enough to warrant getting it until the shots are readily available later in the season.

Everyone in my family gets it. It's definitely worth it. Even if you get the flu, it is usually much milder than without the shot.

I get it every year since I work in healthcare. It's not a guarantee you won't get sick. I still get really sick once every year and always right after Christmas. It's been like that for the past 5 or 6 years. Never fails.

I used to get it and within a week I'd always get the flu. I stopped getting it, and I still get sick once a season.

I've been getting it every year for the past seven years. My little guy is special needs and he has a compromised immune system ... so ... he always gets it. Now the doctor gives it to my daughter too. I've never gotten sick from the shot, but both my kids do get fevers from it for some reason. It's a good precaution for us.
