flowers

Can anybody help me out with flowers. I want to plant some around our patio and in the front of our fence that come back every year and that are relatively low maintance. Thanks

spring hill nursery.com has great pics of all kinds of plants. I prefer to buy my plants locally rather than order online.
Right before Mothers day all the plants will be for sale. There is a GREAT nursery near you called the Bloomin Haus. You should figure out what you like online, then go there to buy it.
You need to know if its full or partial sun & how much water the plants will get, then you can choose the right kinds.

Oh! I can't wait to check out this place! I have a friend that lives near there and said it's a MUST!!! Also, the seller of our house said we should go there...

sure, some hostas flower & they are great in the shade, ferns although they don't flower they are awesome shade plants.
these are all perennials
Liriope-really easy, hardy plant

Astible-comes in lots of colors

lily of the valley

annuals that do well in shade are
impatiens
wave petunias
begonias

I *think* I have tulips coming up in my front yard (which is sunnier than the back), and I LOVE impatients, so i'll plant some in the back.

oh I forgot Pansies, if you want to plant soon those can be planted now. Impatiens need warmer days....at this rate they won't be ready to go in the ground till june.

I agree with the daylily rec. I have them all along my property. They require no maintenance and return every year. I have tropicana orange ones and yellows.
