Fitbit people. Alta or Charge 2
My Fitbit broke and want another one. Which would you get. The Alta or Charge 2?
I like that the Alta is thin, but wondering if that isn't good.

I want to add that their customer service was great and since it's past warrenty they'd give me a discount on a new one so trying to decide which to get.

I bought the Charge 2 to replace my Charge (also got a nice discount from them for the replacement!) - the Alta doesn't measure the number of flights climbed, if I remember correctly. I like knowing that...also I like that I can see who is calling me or read a text on the Charge 2; I don't believe the Alta offers that either.

I love my Alta HR. I was deciding between the two and didn't like how wide the Charge was. I wore my father's Charge 2 for 2 days and just couldn't deal with my dress shirt cuffs.
Besides screen size, the flights are the only thing I can think of that the Charge 2 doess that the Alta does not, now that they have the HR version.
I do get text preview and caller ID.

I love my Charge 2. Upgraded from the Charge. I like the fact that it has gps, so when I walk or run, it tracks my distance and maps my path when it syncs to the app.

I have the charge 2, not bad though I just got it and still testing it out. I noticed the battery only lasts a few days and you need to recharge. Kinda annoying.

I have the charge 2 and I bought my sister the Alta for her birthday.
The Alta is perfect for her because her main exercise is swimming. I wish my fitbit could get occasionally wet; other than that I love my charge 2.
