First RE visit - PCOS confirmed
I had my visit at LI/IVF with Dr. Brenner yesterday. He confirmed that I have PCOS. Glad I went because my regular GYN said she didnt think I fit the profile.
I had an internal sonogram and lots of bloodwork done. Next he wants to do a uterine biopsy I'm so scared because I am such a wimp with everything.
I'll be taking provera again to bring on AF and then if everything is OK with the biopsy, Metformin instead of doing Clomid again.

Re: First RE visit - PCOS confirmed
Hello,
I was in the same exact boat as you back in November. I started seeing Dr. Brenner and on the first visit, he confirmed PCOS. I also had the uterine biopsy and I really didn't think it was that bad at all.
Now, here I am with a BFP confirmed on Monday with my first beta.
Dr. Brenner is a great doctor and I found very willing to listen to what you want and he reallly sounded so sincerely happy to give me the good news.
Good luck!!!

Good luck to you...PCOS is one of the most easily treated forms of infertility so you have an excellent chance of celebrating your BFP very soon!!!!

Re: First RE visit - PCOS confirmed
May I ask why your GYN said you didn't meet the profile?
My doctor saw that my LH is higher than my FSH level and I have some follicles on my uterus but only a hand full. But she doesn't think I have PCOS because I don't have any other symptoms...even though my cycles are long 40-41 days I get them every month.
Here is a link to my post with my tests results.

Thanks for any info in advance

Good Luck! FYI: The part of the testing that scared me the most was the anticipation
