MORE UPDATES - at the bottom
Well ladies...I have asked a zillion questions regarding the different procedure that I was going for here are my results....
CD3 - Normal HSG - Normal Sperm Analysis - Normal
I have an appt on Monday morning for the mid-cycle sonogram...what does that tell the doctor?
My doctor told me to start the ovulation kits which I started yesterday as you know from my other post.
Thanks ladies...I'm so happy to have you girls...because I just gave this same info to my friends and their response was "I told you everything is ok, it will happen when you stop thinking about it, relax, BLAH BLAH BLAH!!!!"

Re: Update on me....
A mid cycle sono will tell how big your follies are getting. Also just a tip when they tell you "normal" ask for copies of the actual results. Should you move on you'll need that. I get ALL test results faxed to me.

Thank you....I will do that...have you gotten different responses than normal when you take the copies to another doctor?
When I go on Monday I'm going to ask her to explain to me what exactly does normal mean and what would the results have to be for it not to be normal.

Re: Update on me....
I was told DH's SA was "normal" too. Well, his motility was actually less than 50%. The reason it was considered "normal" was because his count was 50 million over the "normal" count so the low motility wasn't considered a significant factor.

How did you find out about the motility?

Good idea. Most of that info is available online too. I posted a link in octoberbrides post about progesterone levels. Also ask for copies. When they call with your results ask them to fax a copy. I have gotten 100 different responses to different things. every Dr has their own ideas based on what research they've read, partnerships, personal beliefs, etc. Its just a good idea to have full access to all your records. Re: Update on me....
I went for the sonogram....she saw some dark spots that could mean PCOS but since I don't have any other symtoms (she said they no longer base it on bloodwork...its a clinical observation) and I actually got a surge earlier than the days I was basing my ovuation time in the past she wants me to try for 3-6 months using the OPKs before we take the next step which will be taking Clomid.
I have copies of my results and this is what I see:
FSH - 5.5 LH - 6.80 Estradiol - 49 Prolactin - 9.7
HSG - no evidence of any intraluminal mass or adhesions. Free peritoneal spillage is demonstarted bilaterally. Conclusion Normal
DH sperm analysis Appearane - Normal Volume - 2.2 Concentration: 82.0 Time of Motility 45 Motility - 59 Morphology: 50 All in Range
Does this sound normal?

I have copies of my results and this is what I see:
FSH - 5.5 Under 6 is considered excellent. LH - 6.80 Under 7 is considered normal, although a level higher than FSH might indicate PCOS. Estradiol - 49 Another good number. Has inverse relation to FSH, meaning a high estradiol # and a low FSH # are not good, but high estradoil = over 75 Prolactin - 9.7 This # is also very good, and b/c it is so low tends to lower the chance that the high LH number is PCOS.
HSG - no evidence of any intraluminal mass or adhesions. Free peritoneal spillage is demonstarted bilaterally. Conclusion Normal This is totally great! It means the eggies can get through to the tubes and down to the uterus to implant if fertilized!
DH sperm analysis Appearane - Normal Volume - 2.2 Anything over 2 is considered good Concentration: 82.0I don't know if this is good or bad, but everything else looks good, and since the end result is that everything is in range, I'd say so is this. Time of Motility 45Ditto. Motility - 59 Anything over 50 is good. Morphology: 50Anything over 30 is good. All in Range
Does this sound normal? Everything looks like it is in normal ranges.

Good luck sweetie! Sending you lots of

Re: MORE UPDATES - at the bottom
Great info. The only thing i would add is the LH/FSH ratio like dancin barefoot said. Ask your Dr about that. Also ask for a glucose tolerance test. If you do have PCOS they may prescribe metformin. GL!!

Re: MORE UPDATES - at the bottom
I have my annual appt with my primary doctor....can she do the glucose tolerance test?
Regarding my levels...she did point them out to me and she also saw dark spots on my ovaries during the sonogram. But she said that she wants me to do OPKs for 3-6 months before taking the next step because she believes and I agree that I could have been missed my ovulation since I wasn't checking for it. I am going to try again to temp and do the OPKs since I know that the OPKs tell me I'm about to ovulate but not that I actually did.
