First pp AF-does it come and go? What if you BF? (TMI)

I'm 8 months pp and haven't had AF. A few weeks ago I thought she was coming as I spotted. Nope. Now I'm spotting some more and even have some bright red. Is she coming or what? I thought when she got here for the first time it was a doozy. She's faking me out.

Did you spot for a while or did it just come? TIA!!!!

For me it was just like a regular period except REALLY heavy and they still are I have had 3 so far and they are really messy

The first was really heavy, but now-8 months later-I am very very regular. I am not BFing though so maybe that is impacting you.

I definitely think that the BFing is affecting it. My first two PP AFs weren't anything like what a lot of women (who don't BF) describe. They were very light, and I literally didn't even know that they were coming until I went to the bathroom. Your body is probably working on returning to fertility.

At the risk of sharing waaaay TMI, Kelly I am blaming you for the recent arrival of AF.

Here is the TMI part . . . when not on BCP I tend to cycle with every single woman in a 10 foot radius. Very bad news for me considering I work with 25 women and two men, which essentially meant AF every two weeks or so.

So, here I think I'm BFing I'll go months without, but NOOOOOOOOO, I am not so lucky. First she rears her ugly head a mere 10 days after the PP bleeding stops. Then I get a reprive to the point that I briefly think somehow the birth control failed and I'm PG again , but alas she arrives yet a second time, and NOW after reading your darn post she has arrived for the third time PP . . . this time only a week after leaving. It is all your fault and I am NOT happy. Now instead of getting some loving I have to ask DH to make me another drink.

Period returned with no warning after 2 + years of Breast Feeding and was normal the same it was Pre Pregnancy

Mine came at 6 months pp, and I was EBF. It was a HEAVY period.

Yes, i am bf, have not had real AF yet (almost 8mos pp) but, have had spotting three times. First time 7 weeks was just one time, second time around 4 mos pp lasted for a day or two but very light and only when i wiped sorry for the tmi. and once around 5 mos. never got a real af and i am in the process of trying to stop bf and still haven't gotten it yet. dr. said spotting is totally normal. hope this helps

I am EBF (my DS has had formula once in 4.5 months) and I got AF 7 weeks pp .
Anyway mine has been heavy but regular since then.
