Q about first AF after baby?? (TMI)
I am 16 wks PP and just got AF for the first time this morning.
I am having really bad cramps and am bleeding so much that I soaked through a 'super' tampon in about 1 hr (and all over my pants, ect) sorry for the TMI! thankfully i was at my parents house and not anywhere else!! 
just wondering if it is normal for the first AF to be so uncomfortable and heavy??

I'm sorry your going through this.  I muight be in the minority but mine was lighter than usual & lasted only 4 days (b4 baby it was 7 days & heavy)

You just described my first AF. I got it 4.5 mos PP and I bled like a stuck pig . Seriously though- I bled through a super-plus 'pon in the course of a meeting at school. Thank goodness for black pants.....

OMG that was my 1st AF post baby too. I thought i was hemorraging! It was out of control. Don't worry though it's gets better with each cycle

Mine were worse after the baby. It took several months before they got better. Even now, ever couple of months I'll have a really bad one. You're body just changes after the baby, it should get better though.

Yes, totally normal. I had mine really bad too, I thought I was hemroging (sp?) so I went to my Dr and he said it was just a heavy period, not to worry! I think the first periods after having a baby are always very heavy. Feel better!
I would try to get up in the middle of the night to use the bath room, so more blood can come out, cause if you don't it will be REALLY heavy in the morning!
