first fish
A client of DH's gave him a Beta fish. DD is 2.5 years old. Will this be a problem for him to bring the fish home? How long do these fish live?
Any advice on how to handle?
He can't leave the fish at work because it needs to be fed...

Re: first fish
i think itll be fine not sure how long beta fish last, but i had a goldfish (one of those 50cent ones) that lived for over a year. i had to transport that thing back and forth to college when i was home on break (a 3 hour car ride) i covered the top with seran wrap, poked 2 holes in it and buckled it into the passenger seat talk about a pain! but it survived every trip

it is a good first fish. It is what we have for DS. Doesn't require a filter and the live a lot longer than goldfish
