First cold at 4 months...any advice?

I knew ds would be sick this week..was with family on sat. and both niece and nephew had green dripping from nose and they kept touch ds's toys on bouncy seat...after the first three times i told them not to touch his things..since he has his hands in his mouth all the time..I gave up. What drives me crazy is that their parents do nothing and I look like the pyscho new mother.

My aspirator stinks and barely gets anything out..I hear the drip in his throat..poor baby! I put saline in...no fever..anything else? He just sounds clogged when breathing..

The only things you could try are running a cool mist humidifer while he sleeps and bring him in the bathroom while you shower, so he can breathe in the steam. Hope he feels better!

Get Baby Comfy Nose! Overnight it from Amazon! Maybe BRU sells it? It sucks out sooooooo much more than a bulb aspirator!! The concept is gross since you put your mouth on the end of the tube to suck out the snot (ew), but a regular tissue acts as the filter and blocks everything.

We did humidifier, Tylenol in case his little throat hurt, Baby Saline Drops (Little Noses), Pediacare ice pops, brought him in steamy bathroom, humidifier at night, sips of juice when he was coughing...

Good luck and I hope he feels better soon!Chat Icon
