Thanks! I did centerpieces and the dessert table. I got the hats from oriental trading and stickers at michaels. The banners and favor tags are from Little Shoppe of Paper.

We're doing a carnival theme-games, cotton candy machine, popcorn machine, face painter, magician, etc. I found all of my inspiration on Pinterest.

you can do a color theme like "pretty in pink" and make everything revolve around the color pink
you can do "so sweet turning 1" theme (sweets/candy themed)
"look who is turning one" 1st birthday os the theme, or some people play up the owl sound
you can do safari theme or zoo animal theme
I saw a super cute book/library theme
is it summer or springtime? you can do an outdoors or water themed party
Other popular first birthday parties are the very hungry caterpillar, bears, flowers "bloomed to 1/blooming throughout the year", etc.
what is your dd interested in? what have been her favorite books, toys, interests, even challenges in her first year-- etc? I like to go off something personal.

We did Pink Picnic. Gerbera Daisies in mason jars for centerpieces, pink gingham tableclothes, pom poms for hanging decorations, and I had picnic basket & twine banners made from etsy.

Thanks! I painted them with 2 coats of craft paint then used a nail file to rub off the paint at the raised parts. I could have used sandpaper but didn't have any.

I'm kinda doing an Abby Cadabby theme but more just pulling her colors, pink, purple, and blue.
I did colors for dd1 too. Pink and green and other colors mixed in
