First Birthday Party Entertainment Question

We will have about a dozen kids at DDs first birthday in May. It will be an outside backyard party weather permitting. All but two of the kids will be 4 or under, most of them 2 or under. There will also be two 9 year olds.

Do we need some type of kids entertainment? We will have baby toys set up for the very little ones, but I can't figure out weather to try and get a Yo Gabba Gabba character or something along those lines. Since most of the kids will be very very young, do we NEED entertainment at all besides toys and that kind of stuff??

I had less kids that form ages 2-10.

I had a big favor box of goodies for them to play with. I also had balloons that kept them entertained. If you are doing it outside, I think you can set up some outdoor games.


Entertainment will cost a lot and you don't have that many kids--IMO!
