First Birthday Invites...which do you like better - Updated with another
The theme is Tonka 1st Birthday although I don't necessarily want anyone to think that DS is obsessed with them (because he's not).
So...which one do you think is better (even if you don't like either  )
The last blue box will have his 10 month picture and then the red one will have the most current pic I can get of him before ordering in his birthday hat.

right. i like the trucks on the card, but not yellow. thats an awesome card.

Thanks everyone....if you have any other suggestion about the card please let me know.
Everyone lead me in a great direction with the Christmas card so I am open to any and all comments.

Tonka trucks are yellow, so I would keep the color of the trucks, but either adjust or change the background color.

I like it with the trucks. You could make the background orange or orangy-yellow to make the trucks stand out. A lot of construction stuff is orange. I would leave the trucks yellow though since Tonka is definitely yellow.
eta: I can't tell from the pics online if you already have it, but if you add a drop shadow to the trucks it should make them stand out more against the background.

It's really easy. Select the layer with the truck. Go to Layer>Layer Style>Drop Shadow.

it's in Layer Styles - same place you find the Stroke option.
I agree. It would make them stand out more.

BTW - is it me or does Lucas look older in the 4 month pic (pic#2) than the 6 month and 8 month?

I like the shadow. I know you're trying to show the progression pics, but have you thought about other pics (like different celebrations during his first year - summer pic, Halloween, Christmas, etc)? I like what you've done already, but I love seeing pics of the different highlights of the first year. Great job so far!! It's gonna look great all finished.
