First Birthday Gifts
Our DS is going to be 11 months old and everyone in our families are trying to decide what to get him for his big birthday coming up. They keep asking me what he needs and won't take no gifts for an answer. He has a ton of stuff and we live in the city so we don't have a huge amount of space, do you ladies have any suggestions for good gifts for a 1 y.o. boy? Thanks.

I know how you feel. I hate telling people what to get DS too.
Especially since he has everything. Also, if there is something he does need or want it's usually 1 or 2 things so do I tell EVERYONE or just certain people? I don't want the 100 of the same thing as well. THen I also feel like I'm telling them how much to spend.
City is tough b/c I was going to say outside toys.
clothes - summer and swim stuff
puzzles
books
do you need any type of toy bin to keep stuff organized? Maybe a personalized bin?
GC's to stores
movies
swim lessons?
Usually I just say "age appropriate toys"
If I don't need it or have it then I return for store credit.

My kids have a ton of stuff too!!
If you feel comfortable asking for specific things (i will do this with close family) I asked for the personalized pottery barn kids hooded beach towels..they are great we use them for the beach and for bathtime. The potterybarn kids backpack are cute too...my sister got them for their 1st birthday and i love them

I told everyone clothes in the next size up for the next season.
I just can't handle 100s of toys.
We have nowhere to put them and how many can she really play with?
She gets more enjoyment out of cups and pieces of paper- no joke!
Also- not sure if this is rude to ask for- but gift cards!

i agree. i told everyone to get clothes, gift cards or $$. even with teling those that asked me ~ i still have toys from his 1st birthday unopened i my mil's basement. (his 1st birthday was 6 months ago!  )
