Re: First Big Trip with Baby
How old is the baby?
We went to Disney with a 6 month old.
Timed it so she was fed during takeoff.
She really had no issues with the pressure. Slept on the plan on the way down. Way back she was kind of cranky but still manageable. Not that the whole plane was disrupted or anything.
As far as packing went I just googled Disney Infant packing list and went from there.
Since she was still only on formula I did gardengrocer.com which is like peapod for FL and ordered formula (the 8oz RTF similac bottles), diapers, and wipes from there and it was delivered to our room. Maybe they have something similar if you're going to a family resort...
Aside from clothes I packed:
disposable nipples for the RTF bottles inflatable bathtub hooded towel toiletries for baby - shampoo, lotion, suncreen medicine for baby - baby vicks, tylenol nasal aspirator baby nail clipper brush small toys stroller blankets disposable bibs my own crib sheet sunhat
If I think of more, I'll add.

Other helpful tip..pack dc outfits in a ziplock bag and squeeze the air out. Easy to pack a lot and easy to grab outfits for the day.
DS wasn't using a pacifier but we brought for then plane ride for take off and landing.

Re: First Big Trip with Baby
We go to Aruba every year with the boys. Been going since DS was 8 months and we are going next month with my 3.5 yr old and DS 2 will be 19 months.
Backpack with... Wipes Purell wipes since DS still likes to touch everything and put it in his mouth Water bottles (allowed for babies, but they check it at security) Snacks Movies Coloring book and washable crayons Diapers and put him in a overnight incase you can't change him for a while. Small toys Sippy to give when the flight takes off and lands Change of clothes and little bags for diapers or other garbage. They won't take dirty diapers
We are taking a double stroller and gate checking it. In the Caribbean you don't need a carseat, but I have a taxi driver who has one. Also, layer clothes so when you get there you can take off the sweatshirt and he will have a tshirt underneathe. Leave Sumter clothes on the outsi zipper of your suitcase for everyone in case you can't get to your room yet and to change.
To pack... A few bathing suits Some toys Rash guards Tanks and shorts Sunblock Hats Crocs or other swim shoes Shampoo and lotions Comb The emergency kit with bandaides, etc Disposable sippies Diapers Swimmies Cheap beach ball or other cheap beach toys from dollar store in case you leave it. Light pajamas Most hotels have cribs and sheets. I usually do laundry and wash the boys swimsuits every night Learned we don't go to fancy restaurants eith them and just give them dinner on the beach do I stopped packing fancy clothes. Lol Go out when my inlaws watch the boys. Other than that we stay in the timeshare and order in or have dinner with them on the beach Have fun!

Re: First Big Trip with Baby
Oh yes... Ziplocks like someone else said. Wouldn't worry about the towels. You can use the hotels. Also, the nail clippers I always do before we leave so I don't bring that, but always pack a nail filer. Really for myself, but incase for them. Most stuff the hotel has everything. We have a timeshare so do food shopping and keep everything there. Use their spoons and all, but may be good to bring some plastic spoons for your travels. DS is not on bottles anymore, but forgot to put it on the list too if your lo is using bottles. Also a small Palmolive to wash the bottles or sippy cups.
