Fios Internet isn't that great....
I was expecting LIGHTNING fast speed. Sometimes I have to wait for a picture to download on the screen, when it should be instant.
Speed of light....pfft....

Well, there are always other factors that contribute to speed...
How old is your PC? Are you on a laptop? What was the site?
There is one site I go to that is so bogged down that no matter what getting a pic to come up is always slow. In that case I know it's them, not me.

Good point. DS's PC is right next to ours. We're both surfing at the same time, and his PC stutters all the time playing videos and songs, while mine is zipping along. He has my old PC, so it's much, much slower than mine. Obviously the same speed Internet, but the PC just can't handle the data coming in.

I got the 20/5 Mbps package.
And this is my speed test...
Our pc is rather new, it's not a laptop. I have to wait to see pics on this website sometimes. I never had that before.

My DH works for cable and said he gets so many calls from people coming back to cable. AND cablevision gives you a win back prize

Strange that if you're paying for the 20/5, you're only getting 3/4. The 4MB is within expected range for upload, but the 3MB is very low for a 20MB connection....

Stef, when we first got FIOS the first thing we did was run speed tests and they weren't up to what we were paying for either. We called them back in and they fixed it in no time. Haven't had a problem since.
I say give them a call and tell them what your speeds are. You should be higher on your down speed.

You should def call them, the speed will be a little less if you have wireless, but we have 16 down with ours, not sure about the up; My parents have 18 down.

I was just on the phone with a verizon tech and they tried to fix the problem. The numbers got even worse after I posted that.
They think it's something internal and will call me back tomorrow or send someone out to check out the connection.
