fighting naps- 5.5 months

what can i do about DS fighting naps? we try to get him down before he gets overly cranky but he just gets cranky faster! im not sure what to do besides put him in his crib wide awake
we do eat play sleep, so he usually plays anywhere from a half hour-1.5 hours after eating. this morning was so bad the nanny ended up giving him a bottle. he only wanted to nurse but i had to leave for work. both ds and dd will nap/nurse for ever and ever but as soon as i unlatch, they're wide awake!!
help, i cant have another morning like that, it's so stressful leaving for work with them both screaming!

That was the age I did CIO for naps. DS was giving me such issues. My mom was over...She told me to take a long hot shower and she did it for me. Within 3 days he was much better.

This was the age tiny tot started to use me to soothe. since she doesn't us a binky I decided to do cio. it worked for both nap time and sttn
