Fever for 3 days (4yr old) WWYD?

Sunday - low grade 99-100
Monday - meh 101-102.5
Tuesday morning - 103.3

She eats fine, acts fine
Has a raspy voice like its phlemy but not really a runny nose and only an occasional cough.

Take her in today?
Take her to a Night Pediatrics later?
Take her tomorrow?

Keep hoping this fever will break. Ugh.

As long as she is acting normal and eating I wouldn't rush to the ped, keep her comfortable and let it run it's course. If in another day or two it's not breaking then bring her in. My ped said he's usually only concerned when they are not eating and very lethargic, as long they are acting normally that is usually a good sign. Hope she feels better soon. Chat Icon

I'd prob wait and if there's still a fever tomorrw then I would bring her in. The 1st days fevers are not technically fevers, but obviously something was brewing.

Yeah.. kind of leaning that way. My aunt is busy on Thursday and I have an important meeting here at work. Jim is out today with her and tomorrow we can split the day between us or take her to my aunt's. Ugh!

I would take her an make sure she doesn't have an infection only because generally your fever starts out higher and goes down. I wouldn't like how it seems to get higher each day instead of being say 103 on Sunday and then down to 101 today. I would just be concerned that it might be some kind of infection that is starting which is why it is going up and not down.

Fever for 3 days (4yr old) WWYD?

Update: Left a message for our Triage nurse. They got back within minutes and made us an appt because anything over 100.5 for 72hrs is deemed visit necessary.

Watch, she'll be like me, wake up with no fever! LOL I hope so.

We are planning to split our day, him in the morning and me in the afternoon.

Update: 101.5 this morning. So we had an 8am appt. Sinus Infection was their diagnosis. She went to McDonald's with Daddy for breakfast afterwards. Auntie (who's in AJ withdrawals) met up with them along with "Uncle". Don't you know the boys (uncle and Daddy) let her play in the playarea. *sigh* An hour later Daddy had to pry her away.

Now I'm on my way home to switch with him.

Antibiotics and Ibprophen
