Fertilization Report In!!
so yesterday was my ER and they got 17 eggs but 4 of them were to small to do anything with so that left us with 13 and out of that 13, 11 fertilized  thats a good number right? but they think i may have ohss! so they want to see me tomorrow if im still not feeling so good and it looks like they may want to do a 5 day transfer which would be monday! and if they deside to do a 3 day it will be sat!! so excited i have a little embryo growing that may become my baby!!
i just called my boss to tell her i wouldnt be in again tomorrow and that i wouldnt be back till weds and she wasnt very happy, which i dont blame her. but i hate when people are mad at me her tone in her voice changed and she got kinda nasty with me she needed off monday to and i guess thats why shes mad and again i dont blame her but i hate that shes upset with me now.

thank you!!! i just get my feelings hurt easy and let people get to me. this is important and i have to try not to stress. i dont want to hurt ny chances in anyway

Unfortunately I thought you might have been suffering from OHSS (told you this last night) & i hope that you are ok by tomorrow...Remember, your well being comes FIRST & let your boss be mad! you have come this far, no turning back now

I know what you mean about your boss's tone but just try to block anything negative out. Taking the day off is much more important right now!

OMG Tara thats fantastic!!!! I'm so happy for you!! You deserve this!!
As far as your boss goes....she'll get over it. I dont like people being mad at me either but this is such a major priority for you right now....you cant let her being upset make you unhappy right now. You have a lot going on and this is inportant. I'm sure work is a priority for you but sometimes even work has to take a backseat. I know its easier said than done. Does your boss know about your situation? Maybe if you hinted to her why you'll be out she'd understand. And if she doesnt understand... then whatever like I said she'll get over it. Take care of YOU now Good luck again. I wish you nothing but the best and lots of kids!!!

thanks lisa! she knows about everything ive been walking her through all this since day one no secerts no games ive been very honest with her. i just feel like everytime i have something very important i have to get done dealing with IVF she has something on the same day this is the 3rd time this has happen and i can see why shes upset. she has a life to but i cant control what happens to my body and when the dr says i have to come in i have to come in ivf is all about timing and i think that part she may not understand

Hmmm I can see what you mean and you're right...she has a life too. But you know what.. I'm sure there will be times or have been times in the past when you came through for her when she needed you to pick of the slack because she wasnt available. Know what I mean? So try not to feel bad. Its not like you're taking off to have your nails done...this is critical important stuff!!! I'm sorry she doesnt completely get it

umm good questions. i guess ill find out tomorrow they want to see me 1st thing in the AM cause im still in a lot of pain. i hope thats not the case but i was told today its looking like a 5 day transfer so maybe if they see me tomorrow and it is ohss they can get it under control i hope i dont have to wait anymore. i wanna get pg already

Congratulations...That's an awesome fertilization report.
As far as the OHSS, I've just gone through it...make sure you drink a 50/50 mixture of Gatorade/water. You should be taking in about 40 ounces a day. Try to take it easy and no heavy lifting.
And to answer Jenny's question...each RE treats OHSS a little differently. In my case, because there were 65 eggs and I had been hospitalized after a transfer once, my RE opted against transfer. If her estrogen levels are still really high, they may cancel transfer altogether - but most RE's won't do that unless there is prior history. I personally think it's better to hold off on transfers because I think the body is under so much stress it's hard to get PG in those conditions....but I'm not an RE.
