Feeling

overwhelmed and sad todayChat Icon

i've got so much to do for my little girl's communion party this saturday. i haven't ordered her cake nor her flowers. i have to clean the house and now i'm wondering if i should cater the food or BBQ. if i BBQ, i'll be doing all the work as DH can't BBQ to save his life.

and of course all the other issues hitting home today are just making me feel overwhelmed, tired and sad.

I am happy about her special day and I can't wait for it to be here, but everything that needs to be done, I alone need to do and it just seems like everything needs to be done now and not to mention taking care of my parents (there is an issue right now I have to solely deal with) and everything else. sorry, i don't mean to be such a downer, just overwhelmed.....Chat Icon

I am sorry you are overwhelmed. Take one thing at a time and it will get done. I would recommend catering the party - that's a couple less things for you to do and you'll be able to enjoy the party.

Re: Feeling

This was me about a week ago getting ready for DD's dedicaton.
Relax and don't get overwhelmed - it will work out no matter what.
I ordered a cake from BJ's (very good!) and ordered some wraps/heros from the deli.
It was fine!

Re: Feeling

Make it easier on yourself - call and order the food. You should enjoy yourself at the party and you will have enough to do without having to BBQ.

Why don't you order her flowers today, the cake tomorrow and just cater...you want to enjoy your little girl's day and your guests as well...otherwise you'll be stuck by the BBQChat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

Re: Feeling

Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon I'm so sorry you're having a rough day... I think you should definitely cater so you can enjoy the party instead of running around and BBQ'ing... can you enlist the help of family or friends to get the flowers and help clean?
