*kind of* off the topic - but if you like farm stands and fresh fruit/veggies there is a new farmers market in Garden city - on county seat drive.
Its from 7-12 but get I highly recommend getting there early since things sell out quickly!! (Sometimes I am there selling lavender that we grow - but I shop there too - it can't be beat for fresh produce).

Did you see Newsdays Part II section today? They have a big write up on farm stands and list all of them in Nassau & Suffolk.

There's one down the block from where we bought our house, I'm excited to go there. I went with a friend to one in Suffolk, not sure of the name but it was great.

Same here! There is also another farm on 25 that I love, can't remember the name though.

Duh I should have added that.
It is only on tuesday from 7-12
There is also one on sunday in huntington on main street from 7-12 (there is someone there that sells organic produce).
