Family Mountain/ski trip
Can anyone point me in the direction of resort/house rental that would offer skiing, snow tubing etc.
Thanks!

We love Crystal Springs in NJ because it's just so convenient to get to.

Re: Family Mountain/ski trip
We love new hampshire. We rented a house in campton once which had its own ski hill and shared indoor pool, cross country skiing, sledding hills and a pretty wilderness feel.
We have also stayed in Waterville Valley and loon mountain New hampshire. They have beautiful family places if you like larger east coast mountain. Pat's peak is a fun, easy mountain.
I do not recommend camelback because my daughter was nearly knocked out on it by an out of control drunk who then told me she needs to learn Meanwhike she is a very controlled skier. My son was fearful the entire time because so many people were drinking and out of control...it was an early sat evening tho.
If you are looking for Pennsylvania, try blue mountain.
While I love vermont, it is very expensive with kids if your are big skiers. Okemo is probably the best family skiing but stratford, bromley, and killington are nice too.
This year we are trying maine.
Check out kids ski free programs if you have school aged. It can save you a bundle.

Re: Family Mountain/ski trip
My kids learned to ski at Jiminy Peak. I love that their beginner slopes are not on the main mountain. A few years ago we went to Killington, which we love as adults, but I wasn't happy with their kids programs. We love Smugglers Notch also.

Jiminy Peak for sure. Very family and beginner friendly. DH's family has been going here for years. Also, if you want something in Vermont, Mount Snow is great for families and beginners.
