Family law question
If a minor child under the age of 18 is tried as an adult and incarcerated in an adult prison is the non custodial parent still responsible for child support payments until the child ages out ?

Re: Family law question
http://www.sarilaw.com/Articles/Child_Support/When_is_My_Child_Emancipated.aspx see Connolly the second case listed. The answer looks like the person responsible for child support would still have to pay, but it is worthwhile to check with your attorney.

I'd pursue this with an attorney. In Conley v Conley, the minor was sent to a juvenile detention facility and was still spending weekends in the mother's home. It isn't the same as someone being tried as an adult and sentenced to an adult prison.
