Fall family getaway?
DH want to go somewhere in oct with our 2 yo twins. We want to stay 2 nights and don't want more than 4 hrs driving. Any suggestions?
We were thinking lake George but is there much to do there?

I would agree with this - the whole Lancaster area would be good. We went to Dutch Wonderland and the Strasburg railroad when my DS was 2.5 (it was in mid/late September). Dutch Wonderland wasn't too crowded at all, and the rides were perfect for his age, and Thomas the Tank Engine was at the Strasburg RR when we went (but even if he wasn't, it might still be fun to ride the train, do the train activities, etc.).
Another idea would be the Philadelphia area - we did a trip with my DS a couple of years ago where we went to the Crayola Factory on the way to Philly and then stayed overnight in the Philly area and went the "Please Touch" museum, which is awesome. If the weather is bad, those are both indoor activities, and then if it's nice, you could do some outdoor things. I used to live in Philly when I was in law school and they have great parks, there's also the Philadelphia Zoo, and lots of great restaurants.
I haven't been to Lake George, but I always think it's more of a summer place and for older kids who could do swimming, kayaking, etc.
