Facebook and Baby pics
Do you plan on posting pics of your LO's on FB???
I never really had an opinion but DH is dead against it, and we have heard so many people say not to do it but why? The only reason why as of now I would not post up pics (besides DH) is because now you can download pics from FB so I think that makes it a little creepy.

I plan on it. My facebook is set to private and I have been "cleaning" out my friends of people I haven't talked to in years or who I don't need in my business. The ones who are left are ones that I would love to share pics of little one with.
eta: when my niece was born, i did not share her pics because she was not my baby and I didn't know how BIL & SIL felt about it. But once I was given the ok, i love posting cute pics of her too.

I have not posted pictures of my son on FB. He is in the NICU and will be for the next month (at least). I feel like he is so vulnerable and it is so personal, that I am not comfortable with everyone seeing that. DH does not FB and does not have an opinion one way or the other, but he is respecting the way I feel.
I think it is a personal decision. We are private people, I do not discuss with everyone what is going on. But, I will post an update every now and then on how he is doing. But, even if my son was not in the NICU, I would not post pics on FB.

no i won't be.. i have pics of us and our cat but its very limited as well.. i just don't feel comfortable putting up pics on fb and my fb settings are pretty tight.. I scared if someone clicks the album, the whole thing will come up.. so I'd rather err on the side of caution.

No. We are both VERY private and I'm not comfortable posting pics on the internet, no matter how private it might seem. Once it's out there you just can't take it back.
We will send private emails to close family. For everyone else, if they aren't close enough to have seen  in person, they don't need to have downloadable pictures.

I don't plan to overload my page with pictures and my page is set to private.
I think what most people are afraid of are pedophiles and such.
There are other ways you can share photos with friends and family through email; I know snapfish has a feature where you need to have there email on a list for them to view it, and if they want they can do prints. I find that to be easier and safer.

I really dont see what the big deal is. If everything is OK, we'll be putting up our pics. We have lots of friends and family out of state, so its easier to share pics with everyone on facebook. I do keep my profile private (friends only). So, its no biggie.

Actually its worse now, you can download and save pics now (as long as your friends are tagged in them). If you can see it- you can download it.

I will be putting pics up on facebook. I have already put pictures up of my DD many many times. We keep track of a lot of friends and family on FB and so I want them to get to see the kids grow up, even if we don't always get to see them in person!

I have tons of pics of my kids on FB.
My whole feeling on it, is that child predators are all over....EVERYWHERE! I'm more nervous about the ones IRL scouting playgrounds and bus stops. Not the ones on FB, who have no access to my page anyway.

I do it now with my DD. My page is set private, no one can look me up & I'm not one to have 400 friends on my list. I cleaned up my page after DD was born and I have only people that I speak with & see often.

Yes, I will be sharing!
IMO, I am not "paranoid" about pics being online. If someone really wanted to do something with pic of my kids, there is hardly any way I could prevent it. I am out in public, my kids attend parties, and we do family events outside the home. At anytime, someone could snap a pic of my kid without me ever knowing. I am not about to close the windows and lock the doors when my baby comes. I will be proud of him and willing to share

Yes, I will and I'm sure my DH will too. We don't have a huge number of FB friends and most of mine are overseas so it will be a great way of getting the pics out to them without having to email. All our settings are private also.

It's great to see that so many people will be sharing. I am showing DH this post tonight so maybe he can stop being so paranoid. (He says he's just private lol). Like most, I have my settings set to private, don't have a ridiculous amount of friends and have tons of family overseas that would love to see pics.
