Facebook - chances to win a prize
I always ignore anyone who shares those Facebook posts where if you write in the post or share it then you have a chance of winning. Lately the one I'm seeing is for a trip on the Disney Cruise. Are they scams? I don't believe half the things I read on FB.

Usually big prizes like trips and cars are a scam. You can tell by seeing who posted it. Its usually some funky website

There are SOOO many FB scams that I can't pinpoint exactly which scam you're referring to without more details, but if you Google "Facebook Disney scams", or anything similar, you'll see a ton of links to sites explaining how any why they are all scams.
Just assume that any large giveaway just for liking a FB page is a scam, unless you can go to their verified website to confirm the contest.

Yeah! I never type a post on anything I don't know, but figured I'd check bc I am surprised how many of those I see. Usually a friend will write... Don't know if this is a scam, but why risk it.

99% of them are scams, especially the ones for Disney trips. That Disney Cruise Line one is definitely a scam. Not even the real DCL site. I have so many naive friends that share all that crap though.

Facebook - chances to win a prize
Disney is currently running a contest for a DCL cruise in europe, but the fb ads and posts link to the Disney family site. There's no requirement to share or like anything on fb.

Most are scams. And they are VERY easy to figure out.
1. ANY company that is giving away free travel for life, Disney tickets, a box with free "something, like and share...99% are scams.
2. Look at the logo of the company. Lets take Disney. If the giveaway is real there will be a blue checkmark next to their name. That means its a verified account and its real.
3. Go to the FB page (but I don't recommend it). You will see they JUST joined. You will also see that their FB URL is "Disneygiveaway". It should always be JUST "Disney" (or whatever company).
But seeing the page was JUST created is a huge red flag as well as a wonky URL. Bu the lack of Blue check which means its the legit site is the best way.
NEVER like, NEVER click on any of it.
