Exersaucer vs jumparoo
Just wondering what everyone's take is on what they like better - the traditional exersaucer that has the saucer on the bottom, or a jumparoo type thing with the toys all around, but the baby springs on the floor itself. I have hardwood floors, if that makes a difference! Thanks!

Exersaucer vs jumparoo
We have ds in the jumparoo, for us, we like it better. It's on tile in the kitchen.

Exersaucer vs jumparoo
I needed both. They served different purposes and were great to mix them up. We got a lot of use out of both. My dd used to beg to go it in until almost 2!

My daughter had the exersaucer and loved it. It would keep her entertained for so long.

Exersaucer vs jumparoo
We've gotten way more use out of the excersaucer with both kids. I like that I can move it around when needed and I can put some puffs or whatever on there since that's often the only way dd2 will tolerate being put down

Re: Exersaucer vs jumparoo
I'm no help. DD1 strongly preferred the exersaucer and DD2 likes the jumperoo way better! I do like having both options.

Exersaucer vs jumparoo
We only had an exersaucer and my girls didn't use it much. I didn't like the design of the jumperoo, that they are hanging down from the springs.

Exersaucer vs jumparoo
We had both. I started with the exersaucer in our den at about 3 1/2. - 4 months. She could just sit and I would play with the toys and play the music. She loved it.
When she was a little bigger and stronger we started with the Jumpeoo in our bedroom at about 5 months. She would bounce and bounce. Gave me time to shower, etc.

Re: Exersaucer vs jumparoo
We had/have both. DS loved the Jumperoo and really liked the Exersaucer. We had the Jumperoo at our house and the Exersaucer at my parents house.
DD is only 3 months old, so it remains to see which one she will like more. If you have the space, I'd get both. They're great to put the baby in when you need your hands free.

Re: Exersaucer vs jumparoo
What is the appropriate age for these? My daughter never cared for the exersaucer we had for her, but maybe she was too old for it (she was close to 9 months when we got it). I started babysitting a couple years later though and put the 6 month old in it, but she didn't seem too interested either. It's very girly so I was thinking about getting a different one for DS on the way, but now wonder if I should even bother. Jumperoo doesn't seem much different than exersaucer, they're both the same concept aren't they? Or does the jumperoo bounce more? If I decide to go with it, I'd probably try that one this time around

Re: Exersaucer vs jumparoo
2 different things. Check them out at a baby store.
Exersaucer is more quiet play (but contained) in a semi-standing supported position. Jumperoo lets them bounce (DS LOVED it).
Both my kids used both from 4 months-crawling. Once they were crawling, they did not want to be contained.
