Exercise?
I have just started going back the gym and I feel great. I have been reading about that book "The Fertility Diet" and it recommends exercise daily. I don't know if it will have any effect on whether I ovulated or not, but I feel so much better mentally. Just thought I'd share.

Re: Exercise?
Working out during TTC and even through out the IUI process helped keep my head clear and focused. I felt much better about things. It is also a great way to deal with the frustration of it all.

Re: Exercise?
I agree. Working out really helps me when I'm frustrated, upset, etc. I always feel good emotionally post workout.

Re: Exercise?
This topic has been such a thorn in my side. I am a big runner and since seeing the RE I cut back my runs and don't run more than 4 miles a day. the RE confirmed what i had already known that the running is not the reason I was not getting pregnant. Exercise can effect your ovulation, but not in the regular person. It effects people who are elite athletes and have very low body fat. That being said, every time the topic of our infertility gets brought up my mother in law says "are you still running" and every time I tell her the dr. says it's ok, but she still seems to ask all the time. I even stopped running for a while and it still didn't work. So the point of my story is exercise is very good for you, especially through this time, it may be your only source of stress relief!
