Ever have Dom Perignon?
We just got a bottle as a late wedding gift. It's only 14 months late, but who's counting. 
Dumb question, but is it champagne or wine? If it's wine, any suggestions on what to eat with it?

Technically, it's only champagne if it is FROM Champagne, France. Otherwise, it is called sparkling wine.
It's a legal issue as to why no one else can call it champagne, but it's all the same.

We did the same thing. We got a bottle for our wedding from a friend, and opened it for our anniversary!

It is champagne-- it's good. I'm not a huge fan of champagne but I can drink that particular one...
Here's a tip to bring out the taste and make it even better: put either blueberries or strawberries in it (little slices of them)...
I prefer the blueberries but strawberries are good too- it is delicious!!!!!

MMMMMMMMM, DH got a bottle and we are waiting till I have the baby- anyday now to celebrate and drink it!! I just might make a poinsetta out of it. thats a name of a drink- its cranberry juice and champagne.

it is okay. i am not a big champagne drinker. i found a great champagne/sparkling wine at russo's on the bay, but can't find it in stores.
