Yes! We did it in Rockville Centre and escaped with 5 minutes left. We did use the walkie talkies for the clues which is the only reason we escaped lol. I liked it.

I want to try one! There is one in Northport near us. Did you do it in a group or with strangers?

escape rooms

I thought they gave too many clues in Northport, especially towards the end of your time, to almost force you to escape!

Re: escape rooms

I've done it twice and loved it both times! So much fun to feel like you're inside a game! LOL. It actually peeked my interest on attending a mystery dinner but everything I found was too corny. Chat Icon

it was just dh and I and that's what we wanted. if others booked the other slots for that time we would've been with strangers, but no one did. I wanted to see if we could get out on our own, guess we need help! I want to try with my brother and his gf.

I also think if there's too many people (this one accomodated up to 8) you're probably bumping into each other.

Yea, imo you need more people working together. Dh and I always go with others and together we will work on a puzzle, but I've noticed you definitely need others still looking or working on other puzzles at the same time in order to make it out in time. I always try to book up most of the room to avoid playing with strangers

I agree. If the room accommodates up to 8, that's because that's the recommended amount of people needed to help solve all the puzzles. It's harder if you have less people. One of the employees explained this to us at one of the rooms we did.

Re: escape rooms

Has anyone tried the ones in Ronkonkoma? There's LI Escape Games Extreme or The Escape Room Game LI. Is either one better? I'd love to try one!

There's also Padlocked, Inc. On Ocean Ave, right by the railroad tracks.

I did one of their rooms with DS, and some friends. There were 5 of us total, which was the perfect number, IMO.

We finished with 1 minute left Chat Icon Chat Icon

There are Groupons for there, so it's much more affordable with the Groupon. It's like 40ish percent off, depending on how many people go.

They also currently have a BOGO, so if you have an even number of people, it's half price. For $20/person, it's definitely worth it. For $40/person, it's expensive.

We went here on a work outing and it was great! We didn't escape though. Figured it out with 50 seconds left.

Which room did you do? We're thinking of the mystery red one.
