EPCOT
We're going to Disney in March and I'm trying to figure out which parks we are going to do this time. We have never been to Epcot yet, but I don't know if my kids are too young to enjoy it (6,7,8 and 11). Are there enough rides and things to do for kids, or should we wait until they are a little older?

Re: EPCOT
I was there in August and thought there was alot to do for everyone
There the Finding nemo ride/ area with fish tanks and activities, also turtle talk with crush.
Not much IMO in the World showcase area but thats mainly for adults.
The best part is the Character photo area....you wait on line an get to take photos with several popular characters all inside out of the sun and in the A/C

Re: EPCOT
My son loves Epcot! He's 9 now, but has been loving it since he was about 5. Test Track and Soarin' are his favorite. I love them also. We really like Figment too (although it might not be there anymore). You can purchase (or make llike I am) a passport that the kids can get stamped at each Country. They also do masks and at each country you can color a different item that hangs from your mask. The show they have in "America" is neat too. We're going in less than 2 weeks, so excited!
Oh, and the room with the characters...one year we were first in there. The rope had dropped and everyone went running to Soarin and they waved us inside the building. Turns out we were the first family so they gave us a special certificate and we were the only ones in there for like 15 minutes. It was great!

Re: EPCOT
We loved EPCOT - DD was only 15 months when we went and she liked it better than HS or AK. The things there are more educational - there are plenty to ride in future world.
World showcase however are mostly movies (2 water rides - one is more "fun" while the other is better for very young kids). The world showcase has kidcot stations where the kids can go and make masks. There are bands or other entertainment in almost all the countries (i.e. acrobats in china etc). You will probably walk around world showcase but the kids will probably like future world better.
There are some meet and greets in WS (mary poppins, beauty and the beast etc).
Future world - has imagination studios where the kids can do some different activities, send funny photo cards to friends. Then there is the aquarium at the living seas, innovations usually has some games and other things for the kids to run around and learn something.

WE LOOOOOOVE EPCOT!! My dd was 6 and had a blast there! She really enjoyed the kidcot with the mask and getting it stamped in each country... and everything else OP's mentioned already. LOVED going to Illuminations at night!

Re: EPCOT
We just came back and we went to Epcot. You def only need half a day there with kids. We took my 2 1/2 yr old and there wasn't that much to do. There isn't much to do for DH and I either:)
We did go see Pooh & Friends in the UK. They hide out in the Toy Store there.
We had the private Meet N Greet with the characters in Innovations West by being a Disney Card Holder.
DH went on Soarin and Test Track.
We went on the Nemo ride and watched the Turtle Crush Show (boring IMO).
And we got to taste the disgusting Coca Cola's from around the world
Other then that. Epcot is one of my least favorite parks but you should def stop by if you have the time

Re: EPCOT
Epcot is by far DH and I favorite park. I would definitely go!! Yes, it is more for adults, but there is things for kids to do as well. I actually always like Epcot when I was a kid. Try going a little later in the day, and eat at one of the restaurants for dinner. Then you can watch the laser show.
We usually go during Oct, Nov and they have the food and wine festival going on. You can try different foods from around the world.
Everyone is different, you either like Epcot or you don't.

Re: EPCOT
My 4 yr old had plenty to do at Epcot. HE enjoyed Soaring, Fast Track, Nemo, the viking ride, Mexican ride. In fact we ran out of time and missed one big attraction there. I want to spend two days there this time around.
