when i was on bedrest with my son (now 4 yrs. old) due to premature rupture of my water bag, the best advice i received was to have faith and take it one day at a time (to keep him in.) everything would be okay and it would all be worth it in the end.
2 mos. later i gave birth to him and
now 4 yrs. later, it the experience seems like a flicker in the very distant past. and yes, the two mos. being kept in a hospital room with a window only facing a brick wall and having bathroom privileges was a very SMALL price to pay for having my son, who is now, relatively, a healthy boy.

The best advice I have ever received?
To listen to everyone's advice and store it all in the back of your mind no matter how crazy it may seem to you. Why?
Because odds are there WILL come a time, probably in the middle of the night at lets say like 3:24am, when you've tried everything and the baby is still screaming and won't feed or sleep or burp or whatever - that odd piece of advice you got from your co-worker or the cashier at Pathmark may actually help you!

The best advice I have received is that nothing in pregnancy is "normal" - every pregnancy is different and what is normal for one person is not for another - so don't worry yourself with other people's symptoms and stories.

my advice is to sit back and relax every now and then. Enjoy people spoiling. Don't stress about the weight and the physical changes.. after is all done u will go back to normal but you will have a little miracle in ur hands to show for it. ( or two...)

When you have a rough pregnancy or unexpected complications with your pregnancy it's hard to listen or take any advice from anyone. However, as time goes by you start to embrace everyone's love and advice and realize that it's the only thing that will give you the strength to get through.
So the best advice that i have ever gotten is that things are out of our control, to stop worrying and that everything will be alright in the end. Everyone says that when i see my little one smile up at me nothing else will matter. These are the few things that get me through each day.

Some of the best advice I've received:
-Read the book "Baby Bargains"
-No question is ever too stupid to ask your Dr as a first time mother
-Take it one day at a time when you start to feel overwhelmed during the pregnancy, remember to breathe in and out

The best pregnancy advice I received was from my doctor who told me to drink a gallon of water everyday. I did and didn't get one stretch mark with my first pregnancy. I'm 8 weeks pregnant now with #2 and have been downing water like crazy

best advice was to walk for light exercise every day. It was great advice for all three trimesters. In the first tri- it really helped the nausea to get outside and get some fresh air even when I didnt want to get off the couch. second tri- I felt great so light exercise made me feel powerful and like myself again. and finally in the third tri- even though I was slower, I was still able to feel like I could do something productive and as a bonus the dr says walking can help bring on labor in those last long weeks!

I tend to do too much and run myself ragged. So, my best advice was to take care of myself and just relax.
