If anyone is interested there is a movie called "Left Behind" with Kirk Cameron (ha ha) and it talks about the rapture from a Christian (non Harold Camping perspective lol).

A friend of mine grew up with a father who was a Harold Camping devotee. She doesn't talk to him anymore, but she is still has remnants of his influence in the back of her mind, so we are going to spend the day doing fun stuff, since she is kind of nervous about the world maybe ending.

the movie sucked...the books are actually 1000% better but since there are like 9, unless you are a very fast reader, you will never get through them by Saturday....

I so agree. The books are much better, but no you won't be able to read them all, but you could read the first one. It pretty much explains the rapture.

I just went on Family Radio.com and read it out of curiosity. They say that on Saturday there will be an earthquake and the saved/chosen will be lifted up to heaven. The rest of us will be stuck here in a horrible exisistance, dying off, until Oct. 21 when God once and for all ends the world.
Whatever, I do have this say. Yesterday, I was driving in BLINDING rain. I had my son in the car and there was a caravan of Judgment Day people. THey all had painted vans etc. The leader was in a pickup truck with a house thing built on the back. Totally obscuring his view. He was swerving all over... because.. HE WAS ON HIS CELL PHONE!!
I can't help but think that God won't judge him too kindly in two days time if he kills a family on 135 because he is talking on his cell phone in horrible rain.
Just saying.....
I am waiting for Sunday Morning to see what they say.

Oh man this stinks. Old Navy is having the $1 flip flop sale on Saturday. I guess I should hold off on that...or maybe I should get some since earth will be hell till Oct. It's going to be hot.

Well its tommorow already in Australia, so find out when 6pm is there tommorow and we'll all know a day sooner..
ETA- its 11:30am Friday there now...so if 4am passes and the ground doesnt shake I'd say we'll all be ok.
ETA something else- As I wrote that, all the kids bowls just fell off the microwave cart seemingly of their own doing and I almost SHAT myself.....
