embarrasing BFing question - tmi
This is kind of gross - I'm sorry. I would say a little less than half the time I am BFing DS, I have this terrible urge to go to the bathroom and I don't mean to pee. I've had to pull him off to go and I hate to interrupt him but I have no choice. Right after my c/s I was very constipated and now I have the complete opposite issue.
I am 12 days PP. Is this just my hormones or something else? Has anyone else dealt with this?

Haven't heard of this but your hormones are going crazy right now. My guess would be that when you bf it causes your uterus to contract & maybe that's causing the urge to use the bathroom. Idk

I think it's normal. When you nurse - your uterus contracts. Your body releases pitocin (what they use to induce labor sometimes) and it makes your stomach contract, therefore making you feel as if you have to go to the bathroom. Think of it as helping you get back in shape!

This happened to me all the time. Id wait until I couldn't take it anymore, put Abby in her crib and let her cry as I "did my thing". Then I would pick up where we left off.

You know, thinking back with DS#2 when I would BF - I would get really bad gas pains and sometimes have to "go". I think it's just body changes. I didn't really give it much thought until I read your post. I don't know what that is from. I gave birth vaginally so maybe it's the hormones and just body changes.
