Elmo (or Sesame St) themed bday party

Need some ideas for decorations.
Having DS's 2nd bday at the house next month. Pool will be open. WIll order a cute Sesame St cake from Stop and Shop (their 3D cakes look and taste awesome).

Going to try the veggie and fruit charectors. Anyone ever try that? What are the eyes?

Figured Elmo balloons and use blue, red and yellow as the color combo. Is that right? Green?

My SIL is making the goody bags, but any good ideas what to put in?

The ages are going to be about 1 - 5 year olds.

Elmo (or Sesame St) themed bday party

I did this theme for my son's 1st birthday and we made homemade chocolate chip cookies and packaged them in indivual bags with a tag that said "C is for cookie" ... I focused more on Cookie Monster though. Easy and affordable!!!
Balloons, I did one mylar with red and blue and yellow accents latex balloons with it.

We did a Elmo theme for my Daughters Bday last year. We tried to make it kind of girlie so we did red and hot pink balloons as decorations. We also had the whole body elmo balloon and banner.

I made the Elmo & Oscar veggie platters....super cute and very easy! We used those little plaster containers (chinese takeout usually puts hot mustard in them) filled with Ranch dressing and a black olive as the eyes. Besides a Elmo cake I made Elmo Cupcakes.

I came across this blog when searching for ideas, she did a party for her DD.... allthingsgd.com I got a lot of cute ideas from her.

Look on etsy they have a lot of stuff. I am doingn this theme as well for DD 2nd and am ordering a bunch of stuff from there

I did this for DD's 1st bday and found a ton of stuff on etsy, i seriously spent way too much money bc of it but it was fun!:
-Sesame street sign with DD's name on it, so it said ""DD's name" Street"
-elmo favor tags
-elmo/sesame street happy birthday banners
-DIY sesame street centerpieces (I got an elmo, big bird and abby, they came with all the stuff to put together and it was personalized for DD)- I attached primary colored balloons to them

I also made elmo chocolate lollipops and had elmo cookies as favors . for the kids who werent old enough for cookies, I gave sesame street themed baby toys.

In addition to the cake I ordered sesame street cupcakes with fondant elmos on them, the frosting was different colors to match the balloons/decorations

I had the juiceboxes with the sesame street character on them. Someone made the character fruit platters for me but Im not sure what the eyes were, yogurt maybe, with blueberries?

I got the paper goods at party city-cups, plates, napkins and table cloths (some tables had the character table cloth but for some smaller tables I did a green tablecloth with a yellow runner to match the sesame street sign, I just cut up a yellow plastic tablecloth)

I also printed out free sesame street coloring pages off the computer and put out crayons so the kids had something to do before the entertainment got there.

we are dong this for DD bday next week and I went to Party City and they have a bunch of things to use. I am making Elmo cupcakes and have party decorations and blue red and yellow balloons

My theme was red with white Polka dots. I also made My own Elmo cupcakes that looked like this:

I did not use coconut though. I just used ready made, squeezable frosting from the store, circus peanuts (for nose), mini York patty cut in half (for mouth) and mint white wafer with chocolate chips (for eyes).

I made Elmo visor party hats...with foam hats and paper from Michaels. Cake and cookies were from Lily cakes! I also purchased white chocolate covered oreos from shoprite and "glued" those candy Elmo faces on them using cookie frosting

I did Elmo for Ajs 2nd birthday. It was real simple and didn't go crazy with decorations. I did have Elmo come to the party with Tatoos, dancing, balloons and the tubes that the children crawl through.
