"Elf on the Shelf" chronicling: What did your elf do today?
I thought it would be fun to have an official "Elf on the Shelf" thread where we can post pictures of our Elves (<--is that correct usage? lol) and share our kids reactions, and all that fun stuff! Plus, then we can steal each other's ideas! haha
Lets get this thing going!

We just started Elf on the Shelf this year, so day 1 was on December 1st for us. It was his introduction to the family. We decided to name him Ralphie. The kids FLIPPED!!

we found "Will" riding the sleigh which we just put out in our living room yesterday!
We decorated the tree and interior last night before my oldest went to sleep!

But we just started this year! DS is 3. We named him Johnny, bc DS is a little obsessed with John Deere tractors  (DH has a JD lawn tractor)
DAY 1: (12/1) I put the elf by the bathroom sink with his book like he was reading it. I knew DS would see it there bc we go potty as soon as I wake him up. DS was laughing, and then we read the book to introduce/explain the whole thing.
DAY 2: DS has a scrambled egg for breakfast, and always helps me scramble it. so when I woke up, I put the elf on the kitchen counter next to a bowl with an egg in it, like he was getting ready to scramble the egg
DAY 3- "johnny" was riding DS toy John Deere tractor

Fletch:
-Took a marshmallow bubble bath
-Sat in the wreath in living room
-Sat on top of wreath in family room
-Sat on top of chandelier with all of our son's avenger figurines

and just set up tonight's
I wanted to buy one of those gingerbread house kits to do with DS anyway... so I took out all the candy from it and put it all over the kitchen table, with the box there... like the elf started building it without us

Of course when I threatened my son with the thought that Tickle couldn't fly to the North Pole if he continued to touch him, DS happily scooped him up, hugged him and said "now you can stay here and live with us. I will take real good care of you." I give him a year til he figures this Santa sh!t out

this morning ours left a "job" for DS He left out some sugar cookie mix and some cookie cutters, with a note saying basically to make some cookies for aunt Kate (my sister) as a thank you because shes coming to babysit tomorrow night
She lives an hour away so its not an easy thing for her to come up and play with DS and give us a night out
