EBF moms how did you ever wean to cows milk?

DD is only 8 months, but the occasional times I give a bottle of BM she drinks a few ounces and plays with it. She knows how to drink from a bottle, but doesn't.

How will I ever give cows milk at 1? She gets water in a supply now every morning but only drinks an ounce I that too.

I'm afraid she will never wean!

Just keep giving her the cup. My DD has never gotten a bottle but has been drinking water from a sippy for several months now. She's never had a bottle. She's 11.5 months, I'll be starting to give her milk in the sippy once a day in a couple of weeks and see how it goes. This is what I did with my twins and it worked just fine.

Try Sippy Cup... I never really gave my DD a bottle... I started her on a sippy 3.5 months...

I didn't. You don't "have to" do much re: parenting. I let her try it in a sippy, and she wasn't impressed. I didn't push it. She gets calcium from other sources, so my ped and I aren't worried.

My DD isn't really a fan of cow's milk. I give her maybe 4-5 ounces in a sippy each day. Some days she drinks it, some days she doesn't.

DS wouldn't drink cow's milk unless it was in a bottle and warmed up. Within a month, he was drinking cow's milk cold from a sippy cup. Don't stress about it and give it time.

I tried to go cold turkey and just give it to her, but she rejected it. So I started to slowly mix it in, one ounce at a time. So, 5 oz sippy had 4 oz BM, 1 oz cow. After a few days, 3 oz BM, 2 oz cow, etc.

We still nurse in the morning and at night but she's been on full whole milk since abt 14 months. She's almost 20 months now.

Around 11 1/2 mo I introduced the sippy cup with breast milk. Both quickly took to it & I switched to cows. No warming. I might have mixed some BM until my frozen supply was done.

My DD2 was so easy. DD1 never took to a bottle in general, so the only work was getting her used to drinking from on (she went Straight to the straw type)
