EBF MOMS
Does your DD take vitamins?
I was supplementing with 2 bottles of formula and ped said then she didnt need vitamins (she's 4 weeks)... but I've cut the formula down to 1 bottle (3ounces a day)... so I'm thinking she's going to need to take vitamins now...

My son started vitamins when he was over a year old, i.e. when I was done BF. BFed child already gets all the vitamins he needs in breast milk, no need to give him anything extra or supplement.
However, I myself was taking vitamins the first 3 months of his life and am currently taking vitamins for my daughter. It is a good way to make sure both you and the baby get everything you both need.

My DS is 14 months and still doesn't take any vitamins. I EBF for 6 months and BF and supplemented until 8 months.

We're moving to NYC when he is 6mo old so we won't need fluoride either...

DD only now starting taking vitamins at about 18 months because she is an awful eater. Peds out here don't even suggest vitamins.

I started vitamins at 4 mos. The ped said it is recommended since I don't produce vitamin D.

I'm in the minority -- the Ped suggested Trivisal because he said DS needed the vitamin D during the winter. I gave it to him here and there. The research I did on viamins and breastfed babies was really inconclusive -- some studies suggest it's necessary, others don't. I think you're OK whichever way you go.
