EBF and diaper rash

I read that babies who are breastfed rarely get diaper rash... well DS has a horrible rash that is just getting worse. We went to the ped and she wrote a prescription and told us that it's probably our wipes (which are pampers unscented and sensitive) or acidic foods that I am eating or a combo of both. I tried cutting out acidic foods and we are continuing the cream she prescribed but his rash isn't getting better, it's spreading and looking more red. I feel bad for the little man.

Anyone have any advice?

Is it like dark red dots? If so that could be yeast, which you would need a prescription for. Otherwise, maybe Its the diapers? I would try another brand and see if it makes a difference.

my DS had a bad rash when we came home from the hospital. I was using pampers sensitive diapers. I switched to huggies and used lotrimin (as told to by my ped) on the rash- it went away a few days later and never came back.

Try switching diapers.
