Ebay/paypal fees?
I just looked into selling some shoes online, and I feel like with Ebay and Paypal, there are so many fees For selling one item where I expect to get $30, is it worth it? How much do you usually pay in fees?

Re: Ebay/paypal fees?
I think their fees just went up...supposedly there was an Ebay boycott last week b/c of them...
Im not a big Ebay seller but we basically stopped b/c the fees just got ridiculous and it wasnt worth our time and effort any more..IMO

Re: Ebay/paypal fees?
I am sticking with ebay
I listed 2 items on ioffer last week- and 2 people have looked at one
my listing fees are down- maybe b.c I am a powerseller?
I think the FVF is up- I don't think it's that much
it's annoying- but ebay has the best format and the biggest audience

Re: Ebay/paypal fees?
I just sold about $80 on Ebay and the charges came to about $3.60 which is not bad at all.

My DH breeds snakes...we cant sell them on Ebay but we can sell related products. We took our products to the snake site instead. It's like one flat rate no matter how many listings etc..but it's only reptile related...

Did you have to pay a fee for using Paypal? Is this included in the $3.60?

You get hit for 3 separate charges from EBAY..the listing fee..they take a percentage of the final sale..and then percentage if you use paypal to receive payment. So you get hit at 3 separate points.

Yeah, and THEN, if you're like me and don't feel comfortable linking Paypal with your bank account, you will get charged $1.50 to request a check.

If you do it a lot like I do, I have a PayPal debit card. Of course, it does charge you to take $$ out of an ATM, but I use it as a debit card and pay for gas, etc. with it.
